District of Connecticut
L. Civ. R. 83.1(b) (Aug. 7, 2026): petition for admission is now filed electronically instead of as a written petition. Eligibility in 83.1(a), the $52 add-on and the $50 annual fee are unchanged.

LR 83-4 (special admission of government attorneys) took effect Sept. 4, 2025: admitted without the fee, local counsel, Oregon bar membership, or malpractice-insurance certification; ends with the qualifying employment.

District of Puerto Rico
Adopted Oct. 17, 2025, effective immediately: Local Civil Rule 83A(a)(2) now counts one year of service as a bankruptcy judge, special assistant U.S. attorney, or federal public defender research and writing specialist toward admission.
N.D. Ind.
Northern District of Indiana
Admission fee rises from $199 to $221 on Dec. 1, 2026 (national fee schedule). New pro hac vice fee not found.

Northern District of New York
LR 83.1(a), effective Jan. 1, 2026: applicants also affirm familiarity with the NYS Standards of Civility. Proposed LR 83.1(g) (biennial registration notice, proposed effective Jan. 1, 2027) changes no eligibility or fee rule.
S.D. Fla.
Southern District of Florida
Proposed (AO 2026-78, effective Dec. 1, 2026): Special Rules 3 and 4(b)(2). Adds an exception for pro hac vice and government-attorney appearances; no change to eligibility, local counsel, the three-motion limit, or fees.
S.D. Ill.
Southern District of Illinois
LR 83.1(l), effective Sept. 22, 2025: fee-retention wording only. No change to eligibility, fee amounts, pro hac vice, or local counsel.

Southern District of Indiana
Proposed LR 83-6 (notice Sept. 16, 2026; comments through Oct. 15, 2026): attorneys may self-apply for pro hac vice through PACER and pay the fee during e-filing.
W.D. Tenn.
Western District of Tennessee
LR 83.4(i) is now in force (rules revised Nov. 17, 2025): the court may require a party to engage Tennessee-licensed local counsel within 100 miles. Exact adoption date not found; nothing newer pending.
